Fantasy Football Weekly Recap - Week 9

In the world of football, the Heidi game will forever live in infamy as NBC made the dubious decision to stop coverage of a Oakland Raiders-New York Jets game for a pre-scheduled showing of Heidi. The Raiders scored 14 points in the last 65 seconds to win the game, while millions of viewers were stuck watching Heidi frolic in the hills.

Kenny Albert Calls Green Bay The "Knockers"

Fox announcer Kenny Albert must have been a little distracted coming back from commercial.

Titans QB Vince Young Uninvolved On The Sidelines?

It’s always dangerous to read too much into what you see from a distance, but you have to wonder just how involved Vince Young is. When the offense came off the field, third-team quarterback Chris Simms usually joined starter Kerry Collins with offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger to discuss strategy and Young often was not involved. Depending on the situation, you have to wonder if Coach Jeff Fisher might skip over Young and go with Simms if Collins was injured.

Bears Rally Behind Backup Grossman in 27-23 Win Over Lions

Good teams beat the teams they are supposed to, even when they are not deserving. It was one of those games in which the Bears should not have won

Still Perfect: Titans 8-0 After 19-16 OT Win Over Packers

In week 9 of the NFL, the Green Bay Packers (4-3) traveled to Nashville to challenge the undefeated Tennessee Titans (7-0). Green Bay is coming off their bye week while the Titans had a short week following their Monday night win against the Colts. The game stayed very close throughout its entirety.

Perfection sustained: Titans edge Packers 19-16

The Tennessee Titans continued their winning ways in nail-biting fashion, defeating the scrappy Green Bay Packers 19-16 in overtime. After missing a 47-yarder that would have won the game in regulation, the usually reliable Rob Bironas reverted back to his automatic ways with a 41-yarder that pushed the Titans to 8-0 at the season’s halfway mark. My thoughts on today’s thrilling victory, after the jump.

5 Questions for Week 10

1. What’s Up With the Jaguars? “The engine ain’t runnin’ right,” Jaguars linebacker Mike Peterson told the Florida Times-Union’s Mike Wright  after Sunday’s humiliating loss to the previously winless Bengals

Every Result A Surprise

At 3:30 in the East on this Sunday, we have the Jets up 13 on the Bills, Detroit up 3 on the Bears, the Bengals up 8 on the Jags, Cleveland up 7 on Baltimore, KC up 11 on Tampa, Minnesota up 7 on Houston (I guess that’s not a surprise), Arizona up 24 on St.

NFL Week 9 Predictions

November 2, 2008 Week 9 This NFL season has continued to be hard to predict, and like a jackass that is what I am about to do! New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills This is a game where Brett Favre could remind us all just why he should stay in the NFL, it could also very well be a game where we wouldn’t mind him retiring mid-season. The bills are coming off a losing effort, I see them bouncing back.
